Well, we didn't win. As I sat and watched my ds of 12 with tears rolling down his cheeks, I was so proud of his commitment at such a young age to what he believes in. Of course at 12 he doesn't get the full scope of what is at stake with a presidential election. But for the issues he is sure about, he is passionate. We need more children in this country with attitudes of a patriot. After realizing that the W would go to Obama, we had a long chat about how big our God is. And that no matter what He is bigger than all of this and we need to lean on Him. He is our strength and our refuge. We have prayed and will continue to pray now for our president-elect, Barack Obama. We can only pray we don't lose precious freedoms such as homeschooling.
I heard a friend refer to Sarah Palin as "brave Sarah Palin" and it struck me as so true. I can't really say I would be thrilled with a woman as president, ( i am a little old fashioned that way I guess), but what a brave woman she is. To stand up before this country knowing the challenges that her family faced and to confidently stand up for her convictions and be able to give a clear reason for them was something we need to see more of from our leaders. God bless you Sarah Palin and your family.
Please pray for our leaders, and for the people of this great nation to come together now from this historic election and be the UNITED States of America.
